Emily and Alexander visit their Uncle Satchey in New York at the theater. The theater is shabby, the performances are bad and the spectators stay away. That's why it's going to close soon, and then all the artists will be out of work. Satchey's friend is Benny, who performs in a show as a singer because his father, the owner of the theater, wants him to. Suddenly, 2 crooks show up and try to tunnel their way from the theater into the bank next door. When Benny's father discovers them doing so, he is kidnapped without further ado. But Benny and the mice can save the father, the performance and even the theater.
