When the South by Southwest festival calls, the big names in the music, film and tech business come to Austin, Texas. Every March, this time from March 8 to 16, the city on the Colorado River is overflowing with screenings and conferences - everything rushes to the latest movies and the most exciting new discoveries in the world of music and technological progress. For some time now, Austin has been developing into the new trend city in the USA. The indie festival South by Southwest (SXSW) is not entirely innocent of this - even if it has long since become a major event and generates revenue comparable to that of the Superbowl in Houston. In Germany, SXSW is regarded as the model for Popkomm, which has been held in Cologne and later in Berlin. This collection contains four very different gems from recent festival years. It's SXSW.
